What is StatCrunch?
StatCrunch at http://www.statcrunch.com/ is a menu-driven program for loading and exploring data. It is a web-based program that will run on most browsers. It actually will run on most devices includes tablets and smart phones.
Why is StatCrunch useful for this course?
- It is relatively inexpensive for students to purchase for a semester.
- All of the datasets in Teaching Statistics Using Baseball are currently available as datasets in StatCrunch.
- Most of the statistical computations can be performed using commands from the StatCrunch menus.
- Students can load in their own baseball datasets and create reports. They can share their data and reports with other students.
